Arohanui Strings has been operating in the Hutt Valley (over 10 years) and Wellington (6 years) with the mission to provide opportunity where there is none and remove obstacles to a quality music education. We do not decline anyone who wants to join and participate.

Currently our focus is Strings, but consideration is being given to increase this to other sections of an orchestra and musical endeavours. An important part for this development to take place is exposing our students to a broad range of music and instruments.

Our next holiday programme will be in week 2 of the holiday break and the theme is "around the world" - showcasing foreign music and instruments.

We are seeking registrations of interest from various performers in the fields of

  • Singing
  • Music
  • Dance
  • Other

To be able to show the tamariki the diversity of the performances in our community and to entertain and interest them.

We would want a presentation to be 30-45 minutes in duration and would include some fundamental lessons in your particular art form.

We would be prepared to pay a small contribution of $64.20 for your time and you would send the invoice to receive the payment.

There is likely to be a limit to the number we can cater for in the programme, but if successful this could be included as part of our future holiday programmes

To register your interest please email admin@arohanuistrings.org with the following details:

  • Your name
  • Email address
  • Mobile number
  • If you have a group/organisation name
  • Type of performance
