Summer reading
Here are some great ways to keep your children reading these summer holidays.
Rāroa's Summer Reading opportunity
Summer reading forms have been publicised to Year 7 students and staff this week.
Summer Reading Panui Raumati form
Please encourage your Year 7 child to fill this in so they can get as many hand picked, bespoke collection of great reads for the summer holidays as they want. We would much rather our cool books are in our students hands over the break than sitting in the library not being used.
Students must be returning to Raroa in 2023 to take part in this initiative.
The Summer Reading Adventure for Kids: A Sneak Preview
The Summer Reading Adventure for Kids runs from 1 December 2022 – 31 January 2023 for children aged 5-13. Read books; write, draw or film reviews; and complete quests to earn all kinds of awesome goodies — and you’ll still be home in time for tea! Adults and teens can also take part in their own Summer Reading Adventures
Pick up the Adventurer’s Guide from your local library and visit our Summer Reading Adventure website to pre-register and start logging your reading and adventures today.
