The Under 60s took their talents to Masterton with their sights set on a good day out and looking to register their first tournament win in over 3 years.

The early morning bus ride was the first mission of the day and 2 hours later, we had arrived into a beautiful Masterton morning. 

Losing our two first pool games to Masterton and Hutt Intermediate (later to be finalists), we had the battle for 5th place as a target to win. Unfortunately, with some luck Maidstone were able to win 3 tries to 1 and hopes of a win were dashed. We all had a great day out and a highlight was the bus ride we shared with Tawa Intermediate and the buzzer beating try in the 5th and 6th playoff to Dallas “Shaun Johnson” Cathro.
