run4reef

We have a super awesome and unique running event coming up on the 16th of October called run4reef. It's one event, with one start time, run simultaneously across 22 cities in Aotearoa and Australia for climate change. There are 4 different distances to choose from on a 1km loop on Wellington Waterfront around Waitangi Park. There are 1km and 5km distances offered for youth ages. This event's cause is spoken for in its name: to raise awareness and funds for the Great Barrier Reef and WWF New Zealand. This is more than an event, it's about coming together as a community and running for our planet. We are reaching out to get as many people behind the cause as possible and especially our rangatahi whom climate change will affect the most.

Additionally, we have a number of other opportunities coming up such as the Kāpiti Half in November and our XTERRA Wellington Festival in February 2023. The Kāpiti Half offers two distances for youth, the kids kick it 2k and 5km. See below for more details. For our XTERRA Wellington Festival we offer the XTERRA Wellington NeXTgen Festival designed for 7 to 12 year olds. XTERRA is the world's leading offroad brand and our festival is the first on the world tour. With off road triathlon, duathlon, mountain bike and trail running events it has the perfect experience for every adventurer. We are seeing a lot of traction for this with young people interested in exploring the outdoors. More info about these events is attached in our newsletter below.
