Hockey Boys Grab Silver!
The boys Hockey team finished an impressive 2nd at the latest Inter Intermediate event held at Wellington's National Hockey Stadium.
A final that is being talked about as the best of all time saw Raroa take on Masterton in a thrilling encounter. The game included four lead changes as well as Raroa scoring two goals in the last two minutes to take it to extra time with the scores locked at 4-4. That meant it was a drop off system where each team loses a player every minute until a winning goal is found. It got down to three players each team and Masterton found the miraculous winner.
Wins earlier in the day over Titahi Bay , Wainui, SWIS and Maidstone as well as a convincing win over Tawa in the semi final made for an outstanding day.
The majority of the boys now travel to AIMS Games in Tauranga to compete in the 6 a side competition.
