Rāroa has a really positive relationship with our community policing team. We share the same goals related to safe environments, safe children and young people and safety education.

We also aim to ‘normalise’ the presence of police officers in our kura. Having positive interactions and being part of learning programmes. We are currently exploring options for support with our educational messages around digital citizenship.

The team enjoyed meeting with staff for morning tea and walking around school meeting students and answering questions.
