A short school week to end the term - Word from the Tumuaki/Principal

The Rāroan —

Kia ora e te Whānau,

It’s hard to believe that this Rāroan concludes the term, which has definitely flown by. As this is the last Rāroan for the term, I would like to wish everyone an enjoyable and relaxing holiday.

Last week we celebrated Te Wiki o Te Reo, Māori Language Week. We had a range of activities and initiatives going on, increasing our reo and tikanga. As a staff, we are all committed to growing our tikanga and sharing our reo, reflecting our commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi. A highlight was our school assembly, which was predominantly presented in Te Reo.

On Monday, our School Board of Trustees welcomed our new and re-elected members. The team has a wealth of experiences and a wide range of skills and backgrounds which will contribute to being a high functioning group with the best interest of the school in mind. I would like to acknowledge appreciation to all those that took part in our election process.

Ngā mihi nui
