Nau mai haere mai, welcome new families - Word from the Tumuaki/Principal
Kia ora e te Whānau,
Every year at this time we run our information evenings and open mornings for parents who are interested in enrolling their child here or interested in finding out more about Rāroa. The three nights and following mornings center around Whanaungatanga and the building of relationships as well as providing a personalised approach where the leadership team can answer any questions and meet the next group of parents and many of their children for the years to come
The Senior Leadership Team, of Sam Watson, David Gillies and Matt Boucher and myself alongside student leaders and learning Leaders presented our Strategic Pou - which encapsulates all that we do. Ako, Whakapuāwai and Whanaungatanga. Then we show how we activate this through our ASPIRE Vision.
The open mornings are where the school shines. Parents experience the happy energy and hard working students applying themselves to an array of activities. We are very proud of our students, teachers and kura.
It is also worth celebrating and noting that although the open mornings are on three specific mornings we will continually have visitors through our school. Visitors always comment on the Manaakitanga, hospitality and calm, friendly atmosphere.
A big thank you to our students leaders for hosting, speaking, welcoming and providing tours around the school. Also thank you to the orchestra for performing on the first night.
