Rāroa Staffing Term 4

The Rāroan —

At this time of the year we are in full swing organizing teachers for 2024. A full breakdown of teachers for 2024 will come out in the next Rāroan. However, a few changes and announcements can be communicated now.

  • Judith Dunlop is retiring after her decades of service to education and especially to our English Language Learners, to whom Judith has been their closest ally and strongest advocate as they make their way in a new country. Judith has been a pillar of the Rāroa community and we wish her all the very best for the future. Obviously, everyone who is leaving will be acknowledged for their contribution to Rāroa. Judith however, will have a special celebration later this term to acknowledge her over 60 years of service to education.

  • Lynne Dunn will finish up at the end of this year, after having spent many years enriching the lives of so many ākonga at Rāroa. She will be sorely missed and we are grateful for the massive contributions she has made at Rāroa, with the incredible opportunities she has offered to students. Guanny LP will be taking over from Lynne in providing opportunities for our learners who need extension and support, bringing her awesome energy and skills to the role. We are excited to see what she will cook up for our learners.

  • At the end of Term 3 Natasha Carroll started her maternity leave, which will continue into next year. We wish her all the best and hope she will bring pēpē in to visit.
