The wonderful news is that we have confirmed some camp dates at Makahika for Term 3!

In a year where there have been so many cancellations, the staff at Rāroa have been working with Sally at Makahika to find some dates so our students can experience one of their Intermediate highlights. We were determined to balance things out and ensure everyone got to experience camp and not just lucky Manawanui.

We are thrilled to confirm the following dates.

Rooms 17, 18, 20 - July 22 - July 24

Rooms 15 & 16 - July 29 - July 31

Rooms 2 & 3 - August 3 - August 5

Rooms 1 & 4 - August 5 - August 7

Rooms 23 & 24 - August 10 - August 12

Rooms 21 & 22 - August 12 - August 14 

Rooms 5 & 6 - August 17 - August 19

Room 7 & 8 - August 19 - August 21

The cost remains at $250 per child and the office will send out invoices over the next two weeks.

In a shift from the norm, our camps will now take place in the chillier winter months but all activities and experiences still run during this time. Preparation will be done in classes as to how to best prepare for a winter camp. 

Sally from Makahika will be posting a small video on the school Facebook page and in the next Raroan as to how they cater superbly for winter camps. She will also be present at our 3 way conferences to answer any questions that parents may have. 

Information from your child's teacher will come out next week. Each class will require two support parents to attend so if you still have the leave and desire, please let your teacher know!
