The Rāroan —

Kia ora e te Whānau, Classrooms are buzzing with happy students who are engaged in their learning as well as taking every opportunity to be active, be creative and enjoy themselves.

We are really pleased with how quickly our students have settled into life at Rāroa. A teacher's priority at the beginning of the year is on building relationships whilst setting high expectations, forming routines and setting the students up for success. It has been extremely rewarding to wander around classes and see these processes in action.

Athletics Day was a truly magnificent event and really put on show what it means to attend Rāroa Normal Intermediate. Students put their full energy into their athletics events. The festival-like atmosphere was incredible, with cheering and dancing - a visible celebration of connectedness, sportsmanship and achievement.

As you may be aware, at Rāroa our vision is for all students to ‘ASPIRE’. For those students who joined us at the beginning of the year, they will now be well entrenched into an environment that supports and encourages them to reach their full potential and prepares them for their futures. This is what it means to ASPIRE at Rāroa:
