Thanks Fletcher Construction for bringing the "Bridges to Schools' Programme to Rāroa!

Using 100 pieces of bridge, our students made and tested their own kid-scale bridge. Using 200 kg of aluminium and 200 kg of wood, they built a 13m long and 2.5m high functional cable-stayed bridge under the guidance of the volunteer engineers. The 'Bridges to Schools' programme aims to excite young people about engineering, and for the 75 students who experienced this, that was certainly the case!
