Update from the Board of Trustees.

The Rāroan —

The Rāroa School Board met on Monday 20th February. Some highlights of our meeting were:

  • We considered the draft Annual Plan for 2023. With focus areas that sit neatly under our three overarching strategic goals, this plan dovetails with the 2022 - 2024 Strategic Plan that we shared with you last year. We will share this Annual Plan with you as soon as it is finalised -- please watch this space!
  • Stephen Eames updated us on planning around major property developments that will be happening at Raroa in the future. As some of you may be aware, a number of our buildings are reaching the end of their design life and significant rebuilding of some blocks will be required. We are hopeful that this work may get underway in 2024 although there are many issues still to resolve. We will keep you posted.
  • We were delighted to hear from the senior leadership team that the school year has started very smoothly and that, in particular, the Transition Day was well attended and appreciated. Many thanks to all parents and whanau for the support you have given your children for a smooth beginning and/or return to school. Your support is always appreciated.
  • We reviewed our school's Privacy policy and amended it where we deemed necessary. All processes and issues around privacy are taken very seriously and you are very welcome to check our Privacy policy on our School Docs policy site: Schooldocs link  (username: raroa, password: aspire)
