Online fun activities and help with school work
The Rāroa librarians have collected together many online resources to help with your children's reading and researching needs.
With the school library out of students and teachers reach at present we have to find different ways to access reading material.
The Rāroa Library website has some wonderful links for you to explore if you want to find audiobooks, e books, comics, games, books being read aloud and more. Many organisations, authors, publishers and libraries are making these resources available for free, so it's a great chance to take advantage of this generosity.
We are also in the process of accessing the Wheelers Ebook and Audiobook platform for all our staff and students for the period of lockdown. More information coming soon.
Any Questions service
This is an excellent service for students to assist with online learning, especially with any research / finding information.
They offer online help to assist New Zealand students with their inquiries. Between 1pm and 6pm weekdays you can log on and chat with a real librarian about your inquiry. It will continue to operate during lockdown and is a free service provided by the National Library and public librarians.
