On Thursday  25 May, seven students from Raroa took part in the Wellington Tough Guy Challenge at Camp Wainui in Wainuiomata. 

This is an opportunity for primary and intermediate aged kids to get involved in New Zealand’s biggest mud run series in a version tailored especially for them.

Some of our students have reviewed the event.

Alex Hay: I found the Tough Guy And Gal Challenge very fun and enjoyable. My favourite obstacle was the back scratcher, where you crawled under barbed wire and tried not to get scratched.

Thomas Hampshire: I enjoyed walking through lakes with squishy mud at the bottom so if you didn't move fast enough you would get stuck. Over all it was a very fun course  and I will definitely recommend it for anyone to do next year.
