Some of our best readers competed against more than 40 other school teams at the Wellington Regional Kids' Lit Quiz this week.

Our two teams of avid readers answered 100 questions on a wide range of literary subjects, including accidents, birds, cannibalism (there were definitely some gory questions in this round!), captains, containers and cats. There was a very high standard set, with the winning team from Karori Normal School scoring 91 points out of a possible 110. One of the South Wellington Intermediate teams came second and Tawa Intermediate beat out numerous others on the same score to come third.

Our Rāroa B team did really well, ending in the top 10 with 82 points. They were Adelaide Busby, Renee Keall, Thisaja Ariyasinghe and Ivan Bogunovic.

Our other team also did admirably, coming in around the middle of all the teams. They were Mya Woodfall, Kyra Saywell, Alex Bull and Theo Verkade.
