Hi, I'm Molly Sue and I was in the Rāroa Kakapo netball team. It was such a great season with my dad being the coach, as I could get a free lift to school on training mornings! I have learnt so much over this year and so many players have improved so much. For example Kris P (Krispy) has never played netball but had a really good season. I have also really enjoyed being in Emily J’s netball team again for the second year. I was a bit apprehensive about my dad being a coach but I actually really enjoyed it. My favourite memory this year was moving up a grade and being challenged. I would like to thank my dad Warren, Debby J and Louise J for helping this season.

Hi I’m Lucy Miskimmin and I was in the Kakapo netball team.

This season of netball was another amazing experience that I’ve had at Rāroa. I really enjoyed getting put into a team of people from all over the school and meeting new people. Some of our team was together last year and it was really cool playing with them again. We were lucky to have two amazing coaches that helped improve our skills and collaboration. Right from the start our team had an amazing dynamic that only got better the more we played. I enjoyed getting challenged by other teams, and the competitiveness between the other Rāroa teams when we played each other was awesome. Netball was one of my favourite experiences at Rāroa although I wasn’t so thrilled about training at 7:45 in the morning. Overall this season has been one of my best and favourite seasons in all of my years playing netball.

The Kakapos were such a fun team to be a part of and we had a great time playing together. From early on we bonded as a group and throughout the season there was always lots of encouragement & support for each other. I really enjoyed reconnecting with some of my team from last year and playing with new people. Thank you Warren & Deb for being our awesome coaches. Netball has been such a highlight of my year.
