Inter Intermediate Athletics

The Raroan —

40 Raroa students left to compete at the beautiful Newtown Park on Thursday the 30th March.  After a week of touch and go weather and a postponement on Wednesday, we got to go and show the other intermediates across Wellington our skills, in both track and field events.

We had 12 students out of 40 qualify for the Regional Athletics Competition which will take place this December. Congratulations to all of the 40 who took part and competed to their best ability.

Especially well done to the following 12 who achieved a total of 19 1st, 2nd and 3rd placings in the different events.

Raroa placed 3rd overall with 35 points, after Tawa with 40 points and Hutt with 37 points. A close competition indeed! Thank you to all of the parents who came along and supported us on the day!
