As we reach the last few days of the school year we wish all our students a very merry Christmas and a happy new year.

Mr Gillies -  Well done on a great 2023. It has been fantastic to go through teams and see such engagement in the learning. I have appreciated the chats and catch-ups with so many of you (and the visits to the office to say hi!). Have a well-deserved break. To those of you returning next year: I'm looking forward to seeing what you achieve in 2024. To those heading on to college: all the very best and make the most of all the opportunities that come your way.

Mr Wright - Thank you all for a stellar 2023. It has been a pleasure teaching many of you and I wish you all the very best over the Christmas break. To the Year 8's, enjoy college and may you be super successful!

Mr Price - Well done to you all, have a wonderful break and get yourself ready for the next sports season!

Mr Boucher - I am so proud of our amazing students and everything they have achieved this year. What a pleasure and privilege to spend every day amongst such incredible people. Have an awesome summer, you've earned it!

Mrs W - What an awesome year! An absolute pleasure to get to know and teach so many of you. Enjoy the summer break, Year 8s good luck next year and Year 7s, look forward to seeing you in February!  

Miss Mckenzie - Congratulations to our 2023 Year 8 ākonga. You have been a wonderful cohort of Year 8 students and you are all going to do so well over the next five years at college. Ka rawe ki a koutou!

Mrs Watson - ​Thank you for being such great ambassadors of our wonderful Kura. The manaaki you show any visitor to our school speaks to how wonderful our Rāroa students are. We are so proud of all of you. Have a great summer holiday.

Mr Cope - Thanks to all the wonderful tamariki at Rāroa for making me feel at home this year. Arriving in this new environment was slightly daunting at first, but you all welcomed me with open arms and contributed to making my first year here fantastic. Merry Christmas, happy New Year, and be kind to your parents and caregivers over the holidays!

Miss Edge -  Shout out to all the people who were kind and creative this year! You make our world a happier, more interesting place :).

Mrs LP - You’re my favourite, you’re my favourite, you’re all my favourites! Thanks for the great times, the hard mahi, and the laughs. Don’t forget to come back and visit so we can see how much taller than me you’ve gotten. Lots of love from Mrs LP.

Matua Tadhg - Thanks for an amazing 2023 everyone! Have an awesome Xmas and summer break! Always remember, make good decisions and life will reward you :) 

Mrs Dunn - Have a great holiday break, especially my Mathletes, Writers, 4Ders and Science Fairers! Missing you already!

Mr J - Dear Room 16, You have been such a phenomenal class to teach! Your growth and dedication have inspired me this year. Continue to embrace new challenges and push yourself outside your comfort zone. I wish you all the best for your futures! With great pride.

Mr Berthelsen - Thank you for an amazing year! Have a great summer break. If you have the chance get down to Nelson and soak up some rays. See you there! Go you mako!

Mel - Have a wonderful and safe summer holidays to all ākonga. A special farewell and big congratulations to our year 8s.

Mrs Temple - Thanks to all of you for an amazing year of good vibes, lots of laughs, and so much fun! To the Year 8s of 2023, congratulations and all the best for the next part of your journey. Year 7s, rest up and get ready for another exciting year at Rāroa!

Mr Porteous - Tēnā koutou tuaira mā, anei tētahi whakataukī ki a koutou. Whāia te mātauranga hei oranga mō koutou. This whakataukī speaks about the importance of learning in relation to our wellbeing. Me tāpiri aku kupu, ki ngā mihi mō koutou. Wishing you all the best as you move onto college, keep learning, developing strong values and having fun.

Paul - Shout out to the amazing Room 11 thanks for an awesome year, peace and good vibes to you all!

Mr Morris - Students, I am going to miss everybody at Rāroa, It is a very special place with exceptional kaiako and ākonga, Well done on reaching the end of 2023! It has been a great year where we have lived the ASPIRE values. Ka pai!

Whaea Harriet - Congratulations Room 17! Well done on such a fantastic year! You are such a great group of students and we've had so much fun together. I especially loved our overnighter at Paekākāriki at the start of the year. Have a wonderful summer and good luck for next year - whether you're off to college or back as a Year 8. I know you'll do great things!

Mr Eames - Well done on all your wonderful achievements throughout the year. You have made me so proud in all that you have done in 2023. Year 8s, good luck for the future, I am sure you will go on to achieve great things. Year 7s, see you next year!
