Rāroa Netball 2021

If your child is interested in playing netball for Raroa in the 2021 season, then this article is for them, it is open to both boys and girls.
Please take note of the following important dates and details
Compulsory Parent Information Evening: Wednesday 17th February 5:30pm - 6:30pm in the hall. For all parents/caregivers of students who are interested in playing netball for Raroa in 2021 (even if your child played netball with us last year it is imperative that you attend this meeting). This meeting will outline essential information, dates and expectations before the season begins. It is also a great opportunity to meet other parents.
New player’s skills sessions: These sessions are for NEW PLAYERS ONLY WHO WANT TO TRIAL. Students need to make sure that they are dressed appropriately for netball (sports clothing and shoes). The dates for these sessions are Monday 15th February and Wednesday 17th February, both during lunch time. There will be a meeting to explain how the sessions will work on Monday 15th February during morning tea.
Netball Trials: Please note NOT ALL PLAYERS NEED TO TRIAL. The main purpose of our trials is to put together the top 2-3 teams for each year group. This means most of the other teams will be playing in a more social grade (probably the C Grade) and don’t require trialling. You will be asked which is your preference in the attached registration form (see below).
Netball trials will take place on Saturday 27th February:
Year 8 Trial: Saturday morning 9am - 12.30pm
Year 7 Trial: Saturday afternoon 1pm - 4.30pm
Please complete this Netball Registration Form before Saturday 13th February if your child is interested in playing netball for Raroa this year (either socially or competitively). It is important that you fill this form out before the above date so we can organise skills sessions and trials to ensure players are placed appropriately. Please also read and become familiar with the NSN Code of Conduct.
