Year 6 Camp Fun at Whenua Iti
Kereru and Kotuku classes recently attended camp at the Whenua Iti Outdoor Education Centre in Lower Moutere.
The instructors at Whenua iti kept the group busy during our 3 day stay with caving, kayaking, raft building, taking on the Flying Kiwi, flying through the air on the trapeze, orienteering, the confidence course, walking into Harwoods Hole, and the Riwaka Resurgence. We also learned how to put up, take down and pack up the tents we slept in. At night we played Sardines in the bush and held a very memorable Skit evening, using props and some very questionable dance moves!
Maureen even put in a surprise guest appearance on the Flying Kiwi!
A huge thank you to our wonderful parent helpers who were amazing, they were up very early every morning preparing breakfasts, making lunches, and even got into the spirit of the Skit evening.
