PARENT COMMUNICATION APP

Philippa Hood —

Last week all parents would have received an email inviting them to connect with our parent communication app. Our intention is that the App will be the platform we use going forward to communicate with families.

The introduction of the App is partly in response to parent feedback about the need to streamline our communication platforms as well as giving us the ability to put all forms of communication into one place.  If you have not yet connected you will receive another email as a reminder. It is a straightforward procedure to connect to the Parent App and there is a document attached to the bottom of this article that takes you through the steps.

The Parent App allows you to reply to the teacher that sent the email,  you can also send in your child’s absence digitally, you can access the website and the newsletter from the App and also check the details held for your child/children. There are various other functions that we will ‘turn on’ over time and we hope that the App will become a one-stop shop for parents to be connected with the school.

There will no doubt be some teething problems with the app and we will continue to send out newsletters via our usual emailing system for the next few weeks as well as put them on the app. Teachers will send hard copies of messages to parents who are not connected for the next few weeks but will move to only using the app towards the end of this term.

We are really happy to answer any questions you have about the parent communication app so please contact the Administration staff in the first instance should you have any queries.
