All Saints:1st November
In the year 835 AD the Roman Catholic Church made 1st November a church holiday to honour all the saints
This feast day is called All Saints' Day. "All Saints' Day" annually reminds us of our connectedness as Christians. Perhaps, you
were taught to think of saints as statues in a church building. But the Bible
teaches something completely different. Who is a saint? You are. That is, if
you’re a follower of Jesus.
There are saints who died for their faith - the martyrs. All of them are honoured by the church.
All Souls' Day - 2 November
On All Souls' Day the Roman Catholic Church remembers all those who have died - not just the great and the good, but ordinary and especially those loved ones.
