One kind word can change someone's day.
Often in our staff prayer each morning we reflect on the importance of growing kindness. It is, after all, one of the Fruits of the Spirit, a calling of our faith. We recognise that we have our students in our care for six hours each day and that words of kindness lift the spirit. Equally we encourage our children to always use kind words.
As parents and grandparents we often send our little ones off with a hug and a message of love. This little moment of sending your child out for the day is like our moment of staff prayer each morning. It provides a little pause for consideration of how we can be better people. Sending your little ones off with a reminder to use kind words with everyone may see them make a difference in someone else's life that day.
