Often we say that children learn the most from working alongside each other. This time it was the student teaching the teacher.

Every now and then Oliver Shattock decides that baking is required at school either for his teacher, his classmates or for Maureen.  Both Oliver and Maureen are Gluten intolerant so the recipe of the day was Gluten Free Banana Bread.  No doubt about it Oliver is quite the expert and although he had a bit of difficulty getting Maureen to stay put in the kitchen, stay off the phone and stop talking to visitors, he managed to get the cake in the oven!!  Turns out that the life of a principal is a little busier than Oliver had thought.  His finishing touches to the beautiful cake were chocolate icing and chocolate frogs (each frog representing a school activity).  Needless to say, all staff were happy to be served with a piece of the cake baked by Oliver.  Thank you Oliver, it was just what we needed on a wet day.  😀👨‍🍳
