This Sunday is Trinity Sunday and today at our school liturgy our Seniors did a great job of explaining the Holy Trinity to all of the children. This is one of the most challenging understandings of our Christian belief.

It is a mystery of our faith and no human being can truly understand it fully.  God is God. He can do anything, be anything, and be everything at every moment of every second of every day. We are people, and our minds can't always understand everything about God.  Fortunately we have the Bible that gives us a greater understanding of God and of God's desire for us.

What is important is that we remember that He is our God. We need to read the teachings of Jesus. We need to listen to His Spirit talking to our hearts. That is the purpose of the Trinity, and that is the most important thing we need to understand.

This Sunday as we bless ourselves for prayer, perhaps we can pause and consider the significance of what we are doing.

In the Name of the Father - the Source of all LIFE!

and of the Son
- the Gift of LOVE, who is LIFE itself!

and of the Holy Spirit
- the Breath of LIFE, the Fire of LOVE!
