A Great Netball Season
St Paul's A Netball Team, The Panthers, started out the netball year with excitement and enthusiasm. They had a challenging time ahead after getting into the J1 league, playing the best of the competition.
Every player turned up to practice every week, increasing their skills and achieving great personal abilities. They soon worked well as a team, encouraging their peers and showed great sportsmanship even on those harder games.
There were challenges with coaching the team too, with four of the players being males. Playing with half the team being males means there is only allowed to be 3 guys on the court at one time, and there can’t be 2 guys in the goal circle at one time either. So you always have to be mindful of this and along with the rotation of players which is rule in the junior grades.
As the team comprised of all Year 8 players, all bar one, I wish these players all the best for next year when you play at college. Thanks to Alison Milligan for helping out on the Saturdays I was not there. And thanks to the parents for supporting the team on the sideline.
