Riding the Length of NZ to raise money for our AED
The Charity Embracing Hearts donates life saving devices around New Zealand and Saint Paul's has been selected as the next school that they would like to support in making an AED available for our school and the surrounding community. They work very closely with Saint John Ambulance to ensure the best AED model is provided in the optimum location for the community, in the event of an emergency. This also ensures that the AED is registered with the 111 system and AED locator app and website.
Kiwi emergency medicine Doctor Tim Harraway biked the length of New Zealand and he is fundraised money for the Embracing Hearts Charity who made Saint Paul's the next recipient of his fundraising efforts!
The AED will be located on the outside of a school building, making it available to the community 24/7.
This combined with our second-hand uniform sale, we will have an AED and have it in an alarmed case.
