The Board of Trustees have now begun the important process of finding a replacement for the role of Principal following the retirement announcement from John Dorman.  

An application pack has been put together and the role is currently advertised in the NZ Education Gazette. Closing date for applications is 4pm 5 October 2015.

The school has received around 10 requests for the pack and hopefully we will receive formal applications from a large percentage of those people. This is a “tagged” position in the school which means that the successful applicant must be a practicing Catholic.

The Board has formed a sub committee which will be responsible for the initial interviewing of shortlisted applicants. This committee is made up of Father David, Sandra Buyck, Eddie Powick and Adrienne Hill. It is important that we also have on this committee someone who has current or very recent experience either as a Principal or has worked with other schools as an Education expert during an appointment process. This person will come from outside the school community and we hope to have them confirmed in this role next week.

Adrienne Hill met with the staff last week to give them the opportunity to provide feedback on the strengths they see are required for the role.
