Board of Trustees

● We currently have 56 students on our roll

● New staff employed are as follows. Candice - teaching. Nicola, Sam, Dave, Tane & Corban as Teacher Aides. Welcome aboard!

Riselaw Road

● Trees have been cut down and uprooted besides the car park. The carpark has diggers on site and is under construction.

● Once the equipment is finished with the car park they will begin on the school earth works. At this point we will look to have a sod turning ceremony.

● We will celebrate Matariki in week 9 of Term 2

● All students have health and hygiene goals. This is part of the health and sexuality body of work. Harold the Giraffe will be coming to Sara Cohen School and will have a hygiene focus. All classes will be run through his programme.

● We will be observing the language weeks throughout the year. With classes doing activities and art around Samoan Language week. 28th May - 3rd June.

● Industrial action, there may be some disruption to student learning because of industrial action. The collective has not been accepted by the principals or teachers. Principals are currently on strike by not engaging with MOE.
