Mrs Bamber, the 'Story Teacher' reads a story about a big umbrella...

We were delighted to resume our Kindergarten visits to the library this year, however for term one I have been paying them a visit and am welcomed by the children as The Story Teacher, a title I love! We are supporting the readiness for school by having stories on the mat, managing expectations around listening and contributing, talking about values and friendship and also completing activities that connect to the stories we read. This week we read The Big Umbrella, a gorgeous book about kindness and inclusion. Here are some of our future Seatoun School children showing who they would include under their big umbrellas.
