Wellington Weetbix TryAthlon 2025
Recounted by Benjamin N and Emily L
The annual Weetbix Tryathlon event was another fun and exciting experience for Seatoun School in 2025. With over 60 participants ranging in age from 6 - 12 years old, we were grateful for the still, sunny day and despite the light showers everyone was in an athletic mood.
For Benjamin, the highlight was finishing in a faster time then he had previously, with cycling being his top pick. Emily's highlight was finishing the race as she felt incredibly exhausted after the gruelling run, which is not her favourite thing to do at all.
Students really enjoyed the fun games that were set up around the park. Emily's top pick was the inflatable obstacle course because she was able to jump over the huge hurdles. Benjamin's favourite was the corn toss because he got lots of bean bags into the hole and won a bouncy ball, a frisbee and bubbles.
The support from Mrs Carey was instrumental in everyone having an enjoyable day. Thank you for giving your time up to support us Mrs Carey, we really appreciate it and it wouldn't be the same without you there!
Many students are looking forward to being challenged by a longer course in 2026!
