Touch Rugby Term 1

Te Kura o Kirikiri Tatangi - Seatoun School —

What a game! We had a record number of players (10 teams!) for term 1 2022, and despite covid restrictions, we got through all of our games which is fantastic.

As always, sports cannot happen without our wonderful parents (and Uncle’s even!) giving up their time to assist - thank you all for your help!! I really hope you got the appreciation you deserve from the kids and whānau, we certainly appreciate you.

Please if you have not helped in the past -put yourself out there and give it a go if at all possible. We do always struggle, with every sport, to fill these gaps and it requires a LOT of time trying to twist people’s arms to get involved. We can always support you from school with strategies and coaching help.

Touch returns in term 4….

Here is a summary from one of the Y 7 & 8 teams & some photos below!

This season they handed us a mixed bag of experienced players and new players so we, the Jaguars took that as a challenge. The new players were quick to pick up the game and made massive improvements throughout the season. Good communication from the experienced players gave the newbies confidence, and as a result our team's offence dramatically improved. Most importantly we enjoyed ourselves and would like to thank Mr B for coaching, and a great season. We can’t wait for the next one.
