Chip Packet Project NZ

Te Kura o Kirikiri Tatangi Seatoun School —

Urgent Collection Required!

We recently told you that we took our first sheet of prepared chippie packets to the Chip Packet Project NZ, where the lady informed us that they were asked for over 30,000 of them for the homeless people of NZ and recently displaced people of Nelson. We therefore ask you to start saving your large chippie packets and bringing them into school for us to collect.

1. Only large chippie packets, not multi-pack size. It is better for the environment (and your pocket) if you buy one big bag and bring chippies in a container to school each day.

2. Please wash and dry the packet before placing in the collection box (in the hall by the library).

3. Please also save any Hello Fresh or My Food Bag thermal wrapping (wool or bubble wrap). This is used to make packets to store the blankets, comfortable linings and pillows.

Thank you... your collections can really make a difference!

Bottle top collections - please only drop clean lids labelled with a 2 or a 5 to our recycle centre. Clean metal lids and Colgate toothpaste tubes and brushes can also be collected.
