Come and play football for Seatoun AFC Juniors this season!
Enjoy some football this season with Seatoun AFC. Registrations close March 31st. Please see the poster below for information and sign up information.
We are forming our teams for the season and would love more players particularly in our Under 9 Mixed Team, U10 Girls Only Team and Under 11 team. This is a great opportunity for players of any level, including beginners, to join a fun team with friends. The teams already have a Coach, Manager and Age Group Coordinator to provide support and help build skills and enjoyment of the game during the season.
Trainings are once a week for an hour. On Saturday mornings for the U9s, there are two 7-a-side games of 25 minutes on a 50m field. The U10 Girls Only football is the same, with games on Sunday mornings and not Saturday. For the U11 age group, there is one 9-a-side game each Saturday morning on a 60m field for 50 minutes. All the grades’ games include a half time break.
Below are the ages for each grade:
U9: Mixed league team, currently only has boys
Born any day in 2016
Born between (and including) July and December 2015
Born between (and including) January and June 2017
If you are keen to play and are within this age range, please register by Thursday 27th March at 7pm or we are unlikely to have a team in the U9 grade otherwise.
U10: Girls Only Team
Girls born any day in 2015
Girls born any day in 2016
U11: Mixed league team, currently only has boys
Born any day in 2014

We meet at that the Wellington Harrier Club rooms on Alexandre Road Mount Victoria. The season will start with a relay (Donaldson Memorial) near our club rooms on Mt Victoria. This relay race is a fun introduction with mixed teams of adults and kids, laps are about 1.5k, and new members are very welcome to come along and give it a go!
We offer two midweek after school cross country trainings, run by Athletics New Zealand Accredited Coaches.
Close to our clubrooms we are lucky to have 8 different training locations, providing lots of variety to keep trainings interesting and fun! Our clubrooms couldn't be in a better spot. They're also a fun place to hang out in, before and after training. A pool table, table tennis table and foosball table are also available for indoor amusement.
We also assist with training for primary/intermediate age children competing in the school's cross country competition and help with fitness for other sports.
Our races are held on Saturday afternoons except for Wellington Cross Country Champs. They are held on a Sunday.
There are 5 club races and 7 interclub races. throughout the season and entry to these races is free. (Note interclub races are only open to club members) The membership period lasts for 12 months so if you join in the winter it also covers the summer athletics program which is held at Newtown Park.
