Swimming Sports 2022

Te Kura o Kirikiri Tatangi - Seatoun School —

Tuesday 2nd of August Seatoun school had Swimming Sports, what an awesome effort our swimmers put in! We were all so excited to be able to run the event and have such great participation, both in the competitive and non-competitive events. It is always wonderful to see the tuakana - teina relationships with assistance of our younger swimmers by our 7 & 8 students in the Splash ‘n’ Dash events.

An enormous thank you to all the teachers and support staff who always do their jobs with a smile.

We had a great turn-out of parent helpers (a huge thank you to them!) who helped ensure the smooth running of our morning and also the Rongotai College Y13 PE class which came to help with timing events.

Having such a big team helping out allowed us to have very accurate timings, ensuring the top swimmers are able to continue onto Eastern Zone Swimming Sports.

Thank you also to the parents who came along and supported this event, children always perform well when there are spectators there to encourage them.

Below are the results, 1st and 2nd place will be going through to Eastern Zones Swimming Sports. (Top 4 for the relays) This takes place on Wednesday, 7 Sept 2022.
