Netball is a game where you have to get a ball down to the hoop at the other side. You cannot step while you have the ball, but you can pivot.

On Wednesday the 18th of May, all Eastern Zones netball players were bubbling with excitement. Everyone was ready to try hard. This was the day that they would be going to go to the ASB and be able to play against other schools. When we got there, Ms Laming gave everyone a briefing before we went inside. One team was lucky enough to have 5 games. That team was the year five Seatoun Stars. Our team (the SeatounMystix) set base camp underneath the stairs. We won all our games.

Lottie Barton from the Seatoun Stars said “I enjoyed the game because I got to do it with my friends and I love netball . I love netball because I like shooting ”

Olive Blackmore, also from the Stars said “I like it because there’s lots of teamwork and I like a challenge” Their team won 3 games and lost 1.

Freya Churchouse from the Seatoun Magic said “I like netball because it's a very fun game and I like learning new things since I started it recently. I learnt lots of new skills and I had lots of fun.” The Seatoun Magic is a year seven team and they were very pleased with their results.

Overall , it was a great experience and everyone had loads of fun. We were all very pleased with our results and would like to do it again next year.
