Futsal is a 5-a-side variant of Football, played on an indoor court. 

We are delighted to once again offer Futsal this year, at the Selwyn Sports Centre. 

4.00pm: Fun Futsal (7-9 years)

5.00pm: Junior Futsal (10-12 years)

6.15pm: Senior Men's/Mixed (16+)

7.00pm: Senior Men's/Mixed (16+)

Our Fun Futsal  and Junior Futsal programmes are an introduction into Futsal, and a great way to give Futsal a go and develop your Football/Futsal skills with our qualified coaches in a safe and fun environment at the brand new Selwyn Sports Centre! 

The sessions typically consist of general movement and skill based exercises, followed by games.

Junior Futsal (10 - 12 years) - Term 2, 2022

Cost includes court hire, equipment and qualified coaches.

Players are required to bring:

-Futsal/Indoor shoes or non-marking trainers

-Shin Pads

-Football socks that cover shin pads

-Water Bottle

OUR COACHES

We are delighted to have Daisy Meyers and Reece Ager taking our Fun Futsal and Junior Futsal programmes in Term 2.

                                                     DAISY MEYERS

       Qualifications: 

• NZF Futsal Level 2

Daisy is one of our top female players who has been a player in our STC programmes for several years and is very passionate about Futsal. She captained the Under 14 Canterbury United Futsal Pride squad in 2018 and 2019, played in the 2019 and 2020 Craig Foster International Cup and has been selected to play in both the Canterbury United Pride Youth and the Canterbury United Futsal Pride Under 16 squad competing at the National Youth Futsal Championships this year.

                                                    REECE AGER

Qualifications:

• NZF Futsal Level 2

Reece has been a player in our STC programmes and has also played Futsal for a number of years. He was recently selected as part of the wider training squad for the Canterbury United Futsal Dragons, and was part of the squad that won the Craig Foster Cup in Queensland Australia in 2019 and qualified for the World Championships in Florida (USA).
