Futsal is a 5-a-side variant of football, played on an indoor court. We are delighted to once again offer Fun Futsal at the Selwyn Sports Centre.

We have our Fun Futsal programme for players aged 5 years to 10 years old which is an introduction to futsal and is a great way to give futsal a go and develop your futsal skills with our qualified coaches, in a safe and fun environment at the Selwyn Sports Centre! 

The sessions typically consist of general movement and skill based exercises, followed by small sided games. 

The programme is for players aged 5 - 10 years of any skill level. The programme runs during the school terms.  

FUN FUTSAL (5 - 10 years) - Term 1, 2024

Start Date: Friday 2nd February 2024

End Date: Friday 19th April 2024 (there will be no session on Friday 29th March 2024 due to Easter)

When: Friday's, 4.00pm-5.00pm

Where: Selwyn Sports Centre

Cost: $108 for the term

Fun Futsal (5 - 10 years) - Term 1, 2024

Please note there is a change in the registration process for this term only as MyComet is not available as they are making changes so you will need to register via the above form and then make the payment via online banking.

Cost includes court hire, equipment and qualified coaches.

Players are required to bring:

-Futsal/indoor shoes or non-marking trainers

-Shin pads

-Football socks that cover shin pads

-Water Bottle

       Qualifications: 

• NZF Futsal Level 2

Daisy is one of our top female players who has been a player in our STC programmes for several years and is very passionate about Futsal. She captained the Under 14 Canterbury United Futsal Pride squad in 2018 and 2019, played in the 2019 and 2020 Craig Foster International Cup and has been selected to play in both the Canterbury United Pride Youth and the Canterbury United Futsal Pride Under 16 squad competing at the National Youth Futsal Championships this year.

 OTIS MEYERS

Qualifications:

• NZF Futsal Level 2

Otis has been a player in our STC programmes and has also played Futsal for a number of years. He currently plays in our Futsal Premier League team, and has also been selected in the Canterbury United Futsal Dragons U15 Squad.
