Futsal is a 5-a-side variant of Football, played on an indoor court. 

We are delighted to once again offer Futsal this year, at the Selwyn Sports Centre. 

Game Day:  Fridays

Start Date:  21st October

End Date:  16th December

Weeks:  8 weeks - no game on Canterbury Anniversary Day (11th November)

Leagues:  Juniors (9-12), Youth (13-16), Seniors Competitive (16+), Seniors Mixed Social

Cost:  $400 per team

Venue:  Selwyn Sports Centre, Rolleston

For 7 - 9 years we also have our Fun Futsal programme, which is an introduction into Futsal and is a great way to give Futsal a go and develop your Football/Futsal skills with our qualified coaches, in a safe and fun environment at the brand new Selwyn Sports Centre! The sessions typically consist of general movement and skill based exercises, followed by small sided games. 

The programme is for players aged 7 - 9 years of any skill level. The programme runs during the school term, and will be running for 8 weeks in Term 4.  

FUN FUTSAL (7 - 9 years) - Term 4, 2022

Start Date: Friday 21st October 

End Date: Friday 16th December

When: Friday's, 4.00pm-5.00pm

Where: Selwyn Sports Centre

Cost: $96 for 8 sessions

No session on 11th November (Canterbury Anniversary Day)

Fun Futsal (7 - 9 years) - Term 4, 2022

Cost includes court hire, equipment and qualified coaches.

Players are required to bring:

-Futsal/Indoor shoes or non-marking trainers

-Shin Pads

-Football socks that cover shin pads

-Water Bottle

       Qualifications: 

• NZF Futsal Level 2

Daisy is one of our top female players who has been a player in our STC programmes for several years and is very passionate about Futsal. She captained the Under 14 Canterbury United Futsal Pride squad in 2018 and 2019, played in the 2019 and 2020 Craig Foster International Cup and has been selected to play in both the Canterbury United Pride Youth and the Canterbury United Futsal Pride Under 16 squad competing at the National Youth Futsal Championships this year.

Qualifications:

• NZF Futsal Level 2

Otis has been a player in our STC programmes and has also played Futsal for a number of years. He currently plays in our Futsal Premier League team, and has also been selected in the Canterbury United Futsal Dragons U15 Squad.
