The Green Lab — Nov 3, 2020

Looking to partner with an enthusiastic community group with the capacity to participate in a co-design process over the next 6 months.

The Green Lab has generous support from Christchurch City Council to deliver one Community Co-Design Project between late 2020 and July 2021, and we are seeking a community organisation/group to partner with via our Expression of Interest Form.

Previous projects created in this way include Hornby Community Care Centre Garden, Linwood Tiny Shops Village, Riverlution Gathering Space and Kotahitanga at Phillipstown Hub.

What we are looking for:

We are looking to partner with an enthusiastic community group with the capacity to participate in a co-design process over the next 6 months. The project location needs to be publicly accessible. It could be a temporary (1-5 year) pop up project in a vacant space to test an idea, or new amenities that add value to somewhere more permanent. At the end of the build process, the partner group or organisation will become custodians of the project and will be responsible for its upkeep and removal (if applicable).

This document has more information about our Community Co-Design Process.

For this Project, we especially welcome expressions of interest from groups in the following areas: Inner City East, Lyttleton, Sydenham, Woolston area of Ferry Rd & New Brighton, although all applications will be considered.

Please note, whilst our current funding only covers us work with one group, there may be capacity to apply for joint funding, or for working together after July 2021. We are happy to discuss further options for working together and look forward to hearing from interested groups
