Saturdays at Sherwood

Carolyn Crow —

School might be out for most of our students at 3 pm on Friday, but every Saturday another set of students take their place.

For a number of years now, the New Zealand School of Korea has hired our buildings and grounds for their Saturday school. Students come to learn and maintain their Korean language skills.

The school is very popular, growing in size every year. A number of our Sherwood students attend.

We ask that you avoid coming up to school on Saturdays between 9.00 and 3.00, as playing on the courts, bike track and playground is likely to interrupt their lessons. In addition, just like when our school is in session, for safety reasons we need to have only their staff and students and family members on the grounds.

We are very fortunate to host our Korean School counterparts, as their hireage adds a substantial amount to our school funds that we are able to use for the benefit of Sherwood students. We thank our Sherwood families and the local community for respecting their use of the space and avoiding it on Saturdays between 9:00 and 3:00.
