After a few polite words with mother nature, the sun shines on our senior cross country runners.

Despite some suspicious weather leading up to Friday, the clouds politely took their rain and moved along so we could run our annual cross country event. 

Students in Years 4 to 6 made their way down to Freyberg Park where the course was set up. This years course had students crossing bridges guarded by eels. Hills had to be conquered, slippery banks mined by tree roots to be navigated and never ending grassy plains that never quite seemed to finish. Whatever the students were faced with, they absolutely smashed it!

Our seniors took up the challenge and attempted to complete their goals. For some, it was to enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of our local environment. For some, it was to try and complete the course without stopping. For some, it was getting their personal best time or even coming in the top 10. Whatever their goal was, a huge amount of them managed to conquer the challenge. Congratulations to all the students that participated in the event, they should certainly be proud of themselves.
