Hockey, Netball and Badminton registrations are now open
If your child is interested in playing hockey, netball and/or badminton this year for Sherwood, please read below for more information.
Hockey
The North Harbour Primary Schools hockey season runs throughout Terms 2 and 3. Games are played at North Harbour Hockey on Monday nights between 4pm and 7pm. Training sessions are held either before school, after school or during school lunch hours, depending on the coaches availability.
Games are 6 aside and played on 1/4 turf with 2x14 minute halves. Games are set to start from Monday 9th May.We currently have 2 divisions available depending on what year your child is in:
- Year 3&4 Mini Sticks
- Year 5&6 Kiwi Sticks Development

Kidzplay Netball
The 2022 Winter Season will run from 14th May to 2nd July (excluding 4th June – Queen’s Birthday & 25th June – Matariki) and from 30th July to 10th September (13 weeks). All games are played on Saturdays at Pinehurst School, Bush Road, Albany from 8.45am until mid-afternoon. Time for the final game depends on the number of teams involved in the league. We have teams available for students in Years 1 to 6.

Badminton
Badminton North Harbour is hosting the annual one-day team challenge.
Tournament Date: Thursday 12th May 2022
Time: 9:15am – 2:30pm.
Venue: Harcourts Cooper & Co North Harbour Badminton Centre, Bond Cres. Forrest Hill
Please note, we are only able to enter two teams (12 players maximum). If we have too many players, we will run a trial tournament to pick the best two teams. Dates/times for the trial tournament will be shared with you if this is the case.
