Not receiving school email communications? Please read this article so we can solve this problem together .......

Jo Apperley —

We often receive emails or messages from our Sherwood community to our teachers and Sherwood Staff stating they have not received the email. Please read this email to help us sort out the problem.....

Please go through the following list of items to try and figure out what is happening to the messages. It’s important to check and answer each question in detail. With luck one of these will either identify the problem so it can be fixed, or provide more clues to figure out the cause.

  • Are our records correct? Have you recently changed your email address and have you let the office know your new address?
  • Are you not receiving any emails from School or have you just missed one email?
  • Are you using a web-interface? Mail or email client or mobile device?
  • Have you checked it is set up to receive emails from our School management system (SMS) "no-reply@linc-ed.com"?
  • Have you looked in the “All Mail” label for the missing messages?
  • What about “Trash” (or “Bin”, but not “Trash” or anything else)?
  • Have you checked your "Spam"/"Bulk" folder?

The term 'spam' refers to emails, SMS texts or faxes from an individual, or a company, that you didn’t ask to receive. It’s the junk mail that you get, advertising products or services you don’t want. (source)

Most spam is annoying, but harmless. However, it can also be malicious — spam can be sent with the intention of gaining access to your personal or financial details. This is called phishing. (Please see article: Phishing - stay safe online! Digital Citizenship)

Please help us help you get the correct communication you need to find out what is happening at Sherwood Primary School.
