What happens if my child is a close contact?
How will the school support learning at home?
If we have a positive Covid case at school, we will notify parents of students that are close contacts. This is likely to involve a whole class or a year group.
Under Phase 2 of the Omicron response, close contacts must self isolate for 7 days from the day they had contact with the case and get tested on Day 5 before they return to school.
To support families with home learning, the following will be available:
- Home Learning Pack (hard copy activities)
- Weekly Slideshows (Years 0-5) via our school website
- Google Classroom Activities (Year 6)
- Online learning programmes that students already use at school
- Devices for home learning - available for pick up from school
Additional home learning support will be provided if students require to self-isolate for a longer period.

In the meantime, please keep your child at home and get them tested if they show any of the following symptoms:
- A new or worsening cough
- Sneezing and runny nose
- A fever
- Temporary loss of smell or altered sense of taste
- Sore throat
- Shortness of breath
- Less common symptoms include diarrhoea, headache, muscle aches, nausea, vomiting, malaise, chest pain, abdominal pain, joint pain, or confusion/irritability.
