After taking a short hiatus, Sherwood is taking part in the Shore to Shore again!

What is Shore to Shore?

• Harcourts Cooper and Co Shore to Shore is a great day out along our sunny shores with thousands of participants running or walking the 5.9 km route!

• The event starts at Takapuna Grammar School, heads along both the picturesque Takapuna and Milford beaches and ends at Milford Reserve.

• This event brings together the North Shore community and supports local schools by providing them with an opportunity to raise funds for much-needed sports gear.

Why should you take part?

• It's a great opportunity for Friends, Parents, Aunties, Uncles and Grandparents to get together, dress up, and join us for the fun!

• A fantastic event with plenty of awesome costumes and spot prizes!

• For every participant who registers through our school, $4 will be contributed back in the form of a sports voucher. The more participants we get, the larger the total voucher value will be. This includes parents, teachers, siblings, and anyone else who wishes to join through our school. It’s a fantastic opportunity to restock your PE shed with new equipment!

• Our school will have a tent site set up for everyone to hang out after the event with a free sausage sizzle!

In school competitions:

• To bring out the fun competitiveness in us all, we have a couple of in school competitions running....

• The class who gets the most registrations into Shore to Shore will receive a free pizza lunch

• The year group that gets the most registrations will receive a bag full of brand new sports equipment just for their classes to use!

School dress up theme:

• Each year we participate, our school has a different theme for our community to dress up to

• By dressing up as our school theme you can spot other runners/walkers from our school and feel a sense of community

• You may be able to get up on stage at the end and potentially win a prize (Mr Johnstone and Mr Smart have won best dressed teachers 2 years in a row!)

• This years dress up theme is: Pirates! So get out your eye-patches, shoulder parrots, swords and bandanas because the Sherwood Swashbucklers are taking on the 2025 Shore to Shore!
