Sherwood Sports Teams begin preparation for Term 2.

As the start of the Winter sports season draws near, Sherwood's teams get ahead of the game.

Netball
Our netball teams have been working hard preparing for the 2021 Kidzplay competition. This season we look forward seeing the following teams in action:

- Year 1 & 2 Cavoodles
- Year 3 Toy Poodles
- Year 4 Pugs
- Year 5 Huskies
- Year 5 Schnoodles
- Year 6 Beagles

The Year 4 Pugs took advantage of their holiday time by attending the Netball North Harbour School Holiday Training session. The girls had a great time and are well prepared for the season!

Basketball
Our basketball teams will be entering the second half of Semester 1 in the Harbour Basketball Competition. Best of luck to the following teams:

- Year 3 & 4 Raptors
- Year 5 & 6 Eagles
- Year 5 & 6 Saints

Hockey
It has been two years since we last had a hockey team enter the North Harbour Competition. With much excitement we look forward to our new hybrid team taking the field. The Year 3 & 4 Falcons are made up of players from Sherwood, Long Bay Primary and Bayfield School. We wish you luck for the Winter season!

Rippa Rugby

2021 is set to be a big year for our Rippa teams with over 40 students from Year 3 to 6 taking part in the Primary Schools Rugby Festival. The four teams will be starting weekly lunchtime training's to prepare for the three Festival days held throughout Terms 2 and 3.

Flippa Ball
The Pirates are back for another term of Flippa Ball action. After a very successful first term campaign, they move up a grade to face new challenges. Good luck Pirates!

We are always on the lookout for new players from Years 2 to 6. So if your child is interested in playing feel free to get in contact with the school. 

Gymnastics
The 2021 Primary Schools Gymnastics Competition is still a long way off, however if it's never to early to get ahead of the game. Students in Years 1 to 6 will start up weekly training sessions to learn the competition routines. It's not too late for students to sign up. For more information visit Enrolmy.

2021 Badminton North Harbour Primary School Team Challenge
This year, we are looking to enter a team or two of Year 5 & 6 students into the Badminton Team Challenge. Teams can be mixed boys & girls with a minimum of 4 players and a maximum 6 players per team. For more information visit Enrolmy
