We start the term welcoming a new teacher and a new class.

Mrs Corli Husselman has joined us, starting off our newest Year 0 students in Kowhai H, based in Room 4. Corli has worked for us in the past, so it is a pleasure to welcome her back to Sherwood. We know she will get these 5 year-olds off to a great start.

Last term I was very neglectful and omitted to welcome two part-time teachers. I blame it on the fact that both have worked for us in the recent past, and it really felt like they have never been away. 

Mrs Kelly Hildebrand is working four mornings per week in the Rata Team (Year 5/6). 

Mrs Bianca Walker worked in Kauri classes (Year 1) last term, but is now spending most of her three days per week in Matai Team (Year 2). 

We are very fortunate to be able to employ such capable part-time teachers. With high numbers in Year 5/6 and in Year 2, employing extra staff allows us to ensure students have more teacher time and attention.
