Youth Hockey Development Opportunity for Year 0-3 children

Andrew Smart —

North Harbour Hockey run two programmes for Year 0-3 children that might be of interest to parents looking for a multi-sport opportunity or a chance for kids to explore hockey.

Programme 1Explore Sport – CLICK HERE to register. Harbour Hockey have partnered with Longridge Sports to bring you their first Multi-Sport Introduction to Fundamental Movement programme. The seven-week programme is designed to allow kids aged 4-7 (School Years 0-3) to play and explore a range of fundamental movements using various sporting equipment. While a hockey stick will not be far away (we are at the National Hockey Centre after all), the programme is focused on free play, children will not be pushed towards only one sport or piece of equipment during this programme.

We wish to introduce children to sport in a positive and enjoyable way while developing a lifelong love of physical activity!! No equipment is needed, just closed shoes.
